Sometimes words are available, and sometimes stress, overwhelm or uncertainty makes them difficult to reach. Tell offers another way to communicate—whether speech is usually easy, changes depending on the situation, or is not the child's main way of communicating.

Body communication
Showing can count when explaining is too much.
A child can use a simple body view to point to where something feels uncomfortable, different or important. They can add only what they want to communicate, without being required to explain why.

A recording stays theirs
Play it. Share it. Save it. Delete it.
After recording, the child stays in control. They can listen again, choose to share the message, save it locally for later or delete it. A saved message can have a familiar picture so it is easier to find.

Privacy that respects the child
Private exploration is not parent surveillance.
Recordings stay on the device
Tell recordings remain local to the child's device. They are not uploaded or placed in a hidden Parent Hub playback archive.
Exploring stays private
Unfinished recording, private exploration and abandoned choices do not become history and do not appear in a parent archive.
Only deliberate communication counts
Where communication history is enabled, it can show that a message was deliberately communicated. It never exposes raw recording content.

Parents and carers can personalise important people, things and wording, place useful choices first, tailor Quick Tell and adjust accessibility or audio preferences. The shared Profile can then be recognised across the wider iMoSaT family.
